Here is a gem of a mobile picture courteous of Mobile Pictures contributor Maya Judd. In this photo, we see an ambivalent woman in her early thirties holding up a backwards Koosa. Koosas were the pets of Cabbage Patch Kids, only they were the same size and looked almost identical to the original doll. Here, the Koosa’s head seems to be turned around, creating a funny effect that no one can deny. Makes me miss childhood…
I recently signed a new lease, thus heralding a new era in which I finally live solo in New York. While scared that I will become lonely and socially awkward in the absence of roommates, I vowed to adopt a little furry kitten after the holidays to keep me company during those oh-so-frigid winter months. Imagine my shock and horror when I reread my lease and saw that no pets are allowed. I threw the lease from my body as though it were a pestilence on humanity. Do people break these types of rules? Will my fish be able to fill the void of a pussy? Am I always to just admire cats that hang out at bodegas from afar? Sigh.
